Considering that SEL had nothing to do for the past few months except this album, one would think it would think that it will be out of this world good. But after listening to it, it turns out to be arguably the worst soundtrack from Yash Raj…..ever!
Pyaar Ke Liye (Shankar Mahadevan) - SEL try to take the easy way out with this one. This song would have perhaps been a nice complementary song later in the album. But as the first song it dissapoints so much that you quickly lose hope in the rest of the album. Cheap! Rating: **
Nihaal Ho Gayi (Shankar Mahadevan) - Another cheap song with minimum effort put in. Seems like SEL reached deep into their bank of musical rejects for this one. Since this is a Yash Raj film, this kind of crap is perfectly acceptable! Rating: **
Bulbula (Sunidhi Chauhan; Shankar Mahadevan) - I hate to sound rude, but simply put, this song is trash that even Karan Johar would reject to picturize on Hrithik and Kareena. On a side note, why is Shankar Mahadevan singing every song in the album??? His voice is best when heard sparingly! Rating: 0
Lazy Lamhe (Anusha Mani) - Lazy Lamhe sounds like something SEL were experiencing while making this album. This is no savior for this horrible soundtrack, but it does turn out to be the only keeper. Rating: ***
Beetay Kal Se (Shreya Goshal, Sneha Suresh) - Any song with children talking throughout is automatically rejected by me. Seems like Yash Raj didn’t learn with Tara Rum Pum. Song is peppy but too situational. Rating: **
