With the July 22 date for a confidence vote in Parliament inching closer, the numbers game for the ruling UPA coalition is heating up. The National Conference and the Shiromani Akali Dal are meeting on Tuesday to take a final decision on which way to go in Parliament – whether to vote in favour of the government and save the nuclear deal or join ranks with the BJP and the Left and ensure the government falls and the deal becomes dead.
